Janet Plotkin presents “History & Manufacture of Batiks Through Time”

We all use Batiks at one time or another. There is no wrong side to a batik and the dying process results in surface patterns that can be both subtle and dramatic. They give our quilts depth and variety whether we are piecing or doing applique.  Janet will discuss the history of this World Heritage fabric and present  a trunk show of quilts made with Batiks. She will also bring items for sale from Fabric Fanatics.

Janet Plotkin has been making quilts since 1970. She is currently Vice President of Guild Activities for the Quilt Guild of Plano, and a member of Art Quilters of Plano.
